I am an old pupil of St Phillips who experienced two different year groups and I can with confidence say St Phillips was one of the best experiences of my life. It prepared me thoroughly for my exams and next school and if I had to recommend a day school in London to anyone it would have to be St Phillips. It is one of the happiest places I know and it’s teaching was incredibly high standard which is surprising considering it’s size.
I am a current pupil at this school. Let me just say it is by far the most amazing school I have attended in my life.
The teaching standard is world-class and the teachers are very passionate about their subjects and always want to help you. The teachers themselves are amazing people and are very easy to get along with.
The sports are amazing and the coaching standard is amazing. Representing the school is an honour.
All negative comments about the school are absurd!
I will be leaving at the end of the year knowing it is the best prep school in London!
My son Hal Hunter currently attends St Philips’s School. It is, in his opinion, the best school in London. The teachers are fantastic and supporting and the pupils have never racially abused one another. Veena Chandran’s review is the complete opposite of this school.
St Philips is a very welcoming with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The teachers are nice and attentive to any of our enquires and needs. At St Philips there are many clubs, activities and the teachers make you have a passion in an art. There are many clubs for example Choir, Lamda, Drama, Debating, Science, Art, Air fix and Lego etc.
When we play sports we are all very happy to represent the school. We play like a real team. St Philips is a small school, therefore we are like a family. We happy to have Mr. Wulffen Thomas as our headmaster. He has a great personality and is always there when you want to speak to him. Yesterday we had a Lamda exam and the headmaster came we were very surprised because it was Sunday but he was still there and supported us. He has a very playful dog named Otto, who is our school mascot. We all love Otto.

Our son D has been in St Phillips for 3 years. I would like to rebut vena’s review of the school. This review could not be the furthest thing from the truth about St Phillips. This school although a bit strict (for all the good reasons), has NEVER EVER been a source of negativity to any of the kids, it has always been a second home for our son, and all the kids that attend the school. Never have we ever heard about children fighting, nor bullying. Any incident in the school that even resembled the usual kids picking on each other were always met with instant reactions from teachers and the headmaster. St Phillips has always offered a balance of academic, sports and care for the children. If anything could ever be said negative it would be more about parents that don’t appreciate the ethos of the school and only think their children is as good as they last grade. Sadly some parents as the one that wrote the negative review and lies of the school as Veena did, should really take more appreciation for the effort that all the teachers and staff of the school make towards our children. I am sure that out of all the parents, I am probably one of the most protective parents over their child, and hyper sensitive about anything concerning our son, and I can assure you that St phillips does not represent anything what Veena has painted this school to be. St Phillips is a lovely school, small , family orientated that revolves around the well being of our children. Veena absolute shame on you, to discard all the hard work and sacrifice that the school staff make to take care of our children. If you want to know what St Phillips is really about, all you need to do is walk by gloucster road and watch all the young gentlemen enter and leave the school every day, smiling, respectful and full of Joy. St Phillips is a community of lovely children , that will serve as a great foundation for our son to become a man. Thank you to all the St Phillips staff for your sacrifice, and I will take the chance to apologise for this ungrateful and spiteful parent. Rob Velez
