Graduated in 2020, it was hard during covid, but had a great year 6 teacher, Ms Pethrick, so happy i had her, she helped a lot with the transition to year 7. I was there when the old principle was there, however she did retired, and a new guy is there now. I have “Heard” he is good. i will send my kids here in the future, very good community, even though i wasnt catholic, the religion did help me to understand all religions and beliefs. The students here are very nice and welcoming, and also the playground and the lunchtimes was also fun. 10/10 would recomend, cause i love telling people I went to Vinnies.
I was a student at this school 8 years ago, now in university. I will never forgot getting bullied for 7 years straight from Prep to Grade 6. For 7 whole years, parents continuously went to the school to try to stop it, and the school never, ever bothered doing anything constructive about it. They swept it under the rug for 7 years until I left. This is 1 of the 1000 problems of this school, I’d need an essay to detail all of it. Don’t recommend sending your kids here if you don’t want them to get bullied. Additionally, the teaching was substandard and after leaving I had to be tutored for several years to catch up to my peers in a better high school. I now realise after the tutoring, that I was not ‘stupid’ and I was very good in Maths and Science, but rather the school failed me in my earlier years, making me think I was not good at anything. Thank you.
‘OK’ school if you get the right teachers (50/50 chance) but were unsatisfied overall by the general management, communication and student care. We took both our children out early and we and our children so much happier at a different school.
St Vincent’s is a supportive, community focused school, that deliver a great education and extra curricular activities.
10/10 would go again great memories
