My son started as a premature infant, and I certainly had my tears, questions, concerns and disappointments under previous management, ranging from communication, great teacher changes/firing, feeding a premature infant, etc… but I stuck with them after a few meetings with verbal reassurance that things would change.

My decision to keep our son at Rainbow Huntersville resulted in a pleasant personal experience, particularly because the teachers and the Directors, Mr. Lamar and Ms. Sonya care about the children, know them by name, listen and attend to concerns with urgency and do a really good job of keeping tabs on what goes on in the classrooms.

The teachers and caregivers are wonderful, in that they attend to the educational and emotional needs of the children, and they do inspire the kids to be creative and confident. I see this every morning when I drop my son off.

My son (a 2 year old) walks into daycare and runs into the arms of both his classroom teachers as well as the teacher next door. He hugs them, smiles with them and is quite comfortable around them, and that makes me confident in the fact that I’m leaving my son in a safe a caring environment. At the Christmas party last year, our son left us to sit with his classroom teacher. That says a lot.

Thanks to the amazing teachers at Rainbow for the hard work they do with the kids everyday. I appreciate it. My son is growing because of all you do. Thank you.

The child care part is fine…when it’s available. Our toddler’s classroom seems to be closing 2-4 times a month for the last half year. It’s understandable and expected that teachers will miss days. What is not understandable is why they haven’t addressed the staffing issues so that if at a large facility a teacher or two is out, classrooms have to close.

We’re paying for reliable childcare. The childcare part is there, the reliable portion not so much.

Just this last week our 3 year old’s classroom was first come first serve and we had to rush her to school while our 1 year old was told she had to pick two days she had to stay home. Have they hired more teachers? Yes, but then they open another classroom so that doesn’t fix the staffing issues.
