My son has been at Stepping Stone-Kyle for a few years now. We went through a big shift of teachers twice, and finally landed into some consistency. We were already looking at new schools, and were a hair away from jumping ship. Then he got a new teacher, that would be his actual teacher and not a temp! My son loved Ms. Amber and did well with her but was quickly moved up to Ms. Patricia’s class, and that’s exactly what he needed!

She had already noticed that he was capable of learning the materials and knew a lot of what her class was looking at and would provide my son work sheets (that he requested and was excited for) before he moved to her class. She has provided structure and a true learning environment for my son. He knows what to expect, he knows the schedule, and he comes home telling me about everything he learned that day. More importantly she holds him accountable, and my son needs that along with consistency. I appreciate her always looping me in for the big wins and the areas of opportunity for him.

He’s come a long way, because he’s had to catch up, as the leadership staff before had messed up and not moved him up when he was supposed to be with the rest of his age group, so he was behind in some areas. But, now he’s so excited to show me what he’s learned and created at school that day.

School in need of a huge overhaul from management to teacher training and everything in between. No consistency in classrooms, especially when they combine classes, little attention to children’s wellbeing (not fully cleaned after dirty diaper changes, wouldn’t wipe runny noses, lost several items of my children’s’ clothing, etc.), little to no help with our potty training efforts and classes are *constantly* over capacity. Four different principals and VPs in the 13 months we were there, and a revolving door of teachers. A handful of teachers and Chef Mel are their only saving grace. Chef Mel is an absolute queen, is so kind, genuinely cares about the work she does and deserves a medal and a raise.
I cannot speak enough negative words about this place. We started our child at 2years old for part time. In the beginning it was great but management has gone downhill and it really shows.

I now pickup my daughter soiled, messy hair, dirty face, wrong clothes on. I even receive daily “report cards” while she is out of the country vacationing with us. Them not even knowing my daughter truly shows.

Additionally, we are required to check in our child yet they never have the check in forms available throughout the week.

I could go on and on. My daughter was there for 6 months and is now in private nanny care which works FAR better! Please avoid this place.
