My daughter has dyslexia and she been at Sterne for three years. After completing her third year at Sterne she is confident in her ability to learn new material. She is confident in using the tools and resources to assist her with learning. She is also confident in self advocating. All this is to the thanks of this amazing school. Also they have sports and clubs. Sterne School does an amazing job to have a great variety of activities so there is something for every kid. It is definitely worth the drive into the city.
My child has been at Sterne for two years and it has been a Godsend to her and to us. She feels included in the social life of school for the first time in her life, her confidence is growing, and she is progressing academically at the pace she can handle but still stretches her. The teachers are caring, attentive and supportive. The administration is stellar. With the addition of the new gym, music room, film studio and theatre, the facilities are enviable. We are so grateful for Sterne.
This school has meant the world to our family. Our student entered the school discouraged and disheartened and is finishing as a confident graduate ready to take on her future with gusto. The teachers and staff worked with her to overcome her anxiety about school and adjust the way she looks at learning and her ability to succeed.
