The greatest elementary school in Dallas but for fundraisers they had laser tag, hamster balls, and a gametruck if you sell a lot of chocolates boxes you will get a big TV and they use to have thriving minds here when I was in 2nd grade to 5th grade for after school program even all of the staff were kinda very nice and they don’t have thriving minds at this school no more because they had a another job to do but I miss thriving minds it was very fun they had clubs such as karate, soccer, jewelry, technology free time, game fame bus and gym for dodgeball, football, exercises, and basketball but great and fun school good luck lets go Stevens park bulldogs and by the way ms. Walker use to be our principal at this school but she was nice to but I really miss her so much
My daughter started PreK this year and she LOVES Stevens Park! All she ever talks about are her teachers Mr. Fuentes and Ms. Garcia and her friend Ms. Bell. She has learned so much and it has been such an amazing experience. Honestly, this school is the ONLY thing keeping us from moving out of the area. My daughter hates having days off from school so I know what an impact the staff has made.
They wear uniforms, like all other DISD schools but frequently have dress up weeks in different themes where students are allowed to express themselves! There are fun events like coffee with the Principal and Brighter Bites fruit and vegetable distribution (seasonal).
My niece has a ceremony today where she bought this beautiful long sage dress and upon going to school for said ceremony she was told her dress is TOO TIGHT and couldn’t participate in her ceremony which she fairly deserves to be in for all the hard work she put in all school year. This is sexualizing a YOUNG GIRL who’s in the 5th grade. It’s ridiculous and heartbreaking to see her so upset because she can’t not understand why she’s being singled out in the first place. There is a problem at this school and it’s sexualizing innocent children. Do better.
