When I did the exam, I realised that there wasn’t many primary school children but ALOT of private school children, but that didn’t really affect me.
Now here is the part. When I finished my exam, I was kinda excited and nervous because I didn’t know whether I passed the exam or not. A few months later, I got a letter from the school but it wasn’t very specific so I didn’t know if I passed the exam or not. A few weeks after that, I didn’t get any calls or messages from the school so my mum called them and then they told her that there were no available spaces for me, when I applied early.
It’s really annoying how they didn’t have the audacity to call my mum and let me know if I was in. I bet that if she hadn’t called her then I would never know if I got in the school or not. I only think that they just wanted to get more private school children rather than primary.
And they should at least call my mum, instead of her having to wait ages so she could call them.
So I suggest that if you want to apply this school for your daughter, then think twice.
The Headmaster Dr Sachania is an incredibly talented, kind, heartwarming and caring man who made me feel valued and welcomed at the school. His piano skills blew me away and he deepened my inspiration and motivation to play piano.
My main inspiration however was my piano teacher Frances Angell – who I continue to have lessons with now. She was (and still is) phenomenal. She gave me the tools and aided my progression as a pianist, to now where I’ve achieved a distinction for my Grade 8.
