The school got off to a rocky start but has since settled into a good learning environment.
Principal Woldemarian has the kids best interest at heart and is very responsive. Weve met on several occasions to hash out issues and to discuss my childs progress and what we can do as a school and parent team to support that progress. Her delivery last year was at times off putting but she has since found a much more compassionate approach.
There are opportunities for the children of the school to thrive. There is room for the teachers to grow but they seem to be heading in the right direction. Using discretion when it comes to discipline is an issue that still needs fine tuning. This seems to be a network wide issue though. Children fidgeting or dozing off are not things to be punished for but addressed. Those things point to deeper rooted problems both big and small.
My child is happy and doesnt want to leave the school. I asked. He has learned how to advocate for himself and how to escalate
a situation in the right way if he needs to.
He is learning and seems to enjoy most of his classes on most days.
One draw back is that the recess yard is very small. Im not sure how it compares to other schools but in my opinion its very small.
