I had a somewhat average experience at Sunnyvale Middle School. The teachers are good, however the school is not very well maintained (especially the locker rooms, which are falling into disrepair), and the administration certainly leaves something to be desired. There has not been one year I have attended where some sort of error has not occurred, whether it be with the online grades, class schedules, or payments of various sorts. Some (not all) administrators are also racist. Rules are not well enforced and the dress code is frequently violated. Finally, the math textbooks (from Carnegie learning) are of low quality and contain numerous typos (to the point where my geometry teacher made it a game to find as many typos as possible). Regardless, my experience was by no means excellent, but still tolerable. It is possible to have a good experience here if you have the right teachers and the right classmates.
The schools isn’t as bad as many reviews say it is. Nonetheless, it isn’t great. 4 main feeder schools go into Sunnyvale middle. Cherry chase, Cumberland, Ellis, and Vargas. Ellis and Vargas are not the nicest schools and that has a profound effect on the general ambiance. That being said, most of the kids from cherry chase and Cumberland are good enough to make up for it. There are bad kids, and there are good kids. There are a small number of bad kids who feel as if it is their obligation to screw up the school. These select few get into fights, vandalize, and skip. They have a no tolerance policy for fighting but they don’t do much for the other 2. The teachers are mixed as well. I’d say the majority of them are good teachers (If you get Ms. Mckell, fear for your life). Overall, I enjoyed my time there.
For short of the paragraph-
This school isn’t good and they dont really care as much for there students.

I still go to school right new and it is disappointing. One day I was there and the toilet was covered with bugs and you can obviously tell that there janitor dousnt do much. All the toilet paper and towel paper was all gone for weeks. And don’t get me started with there year books. I just got mine and it was harendes it was not done well and it was late. PEOPLE PAY 50 DOLLARS FOR IT AND THEN ITS LATE AND IN TOP FOR THAT IT WAS HORRIBLE. They also say there students are there number one priority but it is obviously NOT. They also have a year book elective and they still didn’t finish on time. Finally back to the toilet problem. There are multiple days I was there and they didn’t have soap for weeks.
