One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Rude people, a cold place–they weren’t even willing to heat it for the student who had paid them. Lack of professionalism was evident throughout. I attended my exam just before the start time, and within 5 minutes, the lady began speaking in a very rude and ill-mannered way. She even asked me to take my jacket off, stating, “You are not allowed to put your jacket on during the exam period,” despite the window being open and the heater not being on. The way she behaved was extremely condescending. I won’t recommend it!
Brilliant facilities. Teachers were supportive in every way. I had a great experience at the college. I was very happy with my results, but it wouldn’t be possible without the great support i received. Highly recommended.
Swansea College is an outstanding college. Both of my children have achieved A* in a variety of subjects. All the teacher are awesome. Really passionate and highly knowledgeable in their chosen subjects.
Also credit goes to the Principal. A lady by the name of Aisha. She is a remarkable character. Well spoken and polite. She is always available for any concerns.
If you want your children to have an enriched education. I would recommend Swansea College. Money well invested for my children future.
Did A level exams as an external candidate with this exam centre. Exams seemed well organised but I was the only one doing them. Lessons were going on during my exam which was a bit distracting. The exam environment and organisation was overall fine and the people working there were very nice.
However on results day I waited and waited for an email with my grades on and it never came even though on their website it says they will be sent out at 8am. I rang them and it seemed that they had no intention of ever sending my results on that day and told me I would have to wait for the certificates which would arrive 4 months after the actual results day. I kept ringing them all day to try to receive them. Definitely made an anxious day more stressful. Would only recommend as a last resort.
I have found Swansea sixth form college to be extremely helpful and accommodating when setting up exams as an external candidate with my daughter. She is home educated due to ill health and needed special considerations for the exams which they were happy to arrange on our behalf. There was a little confusion over how to obtain her results for her first exam but any teething problems have definitely been ironed out as her second exam this Summer was dealt with in a professional yet caring manner. We plan for her to sit more with SSC next Summer.
