The facility is great and well cared for, however instructor leaves alot to be desired. He was more interested in visiting with the other instructor while in the pool with our swimmer. He would turn his back on our swimmer and play with a water toy. During the lesson he was eating a bag of chips while in the pool. Very disappointing to witness the lack of interest this instructor displayed. He spoke in a monotone voice and was not at all approachable to our swimmer, or parents. We expected this to be a positive experience for our swimmer, it was far from that. We never saw an adult check on things in the facility, with teen instructors being the only ones in the pool. We are going to definitely look elsewhere for instructors who are less bored and more invested in their instruction. These lessons were a waste of our time and our money.
My son started as a very shy 5 year old terrified of the water. In the past we had tried group lessons, but never made progress. We started one on one lessons at the Swim School of Bend to give this approach a try. Immediately my son started enjoying the water and was soon going fully under diving for toys. It only took a few lessons before he started swimming. After continued lessons he was mastering multiple strokes and feeling very confident. His teachers pushed him just enough to get him out of his comfort zone, but also made it fun so he felt comfortable and enjoyed his time. The private pool where lessons are held is clean, modern, and a place I truly enjoyed being watching my son thrive.
Waste of time and money. Wouldnt recommend. Sarah has pretty poor customer service and appears to be only there to get paid. My first impression was that Sarah, was focused on the time rather than teaching the kids to swim, a few minutes before the class was supposed to end, she was ready to end it. Secondly, during that first class, she talked bad about other swim programs around town, I felt that was poor taste on her end. Lastly, shes cancelled class and doesnt follow through with communicating with her customers and trying to get ahold of her is like pulling teeth. Very disappointing with the unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and lack of poor taste.
