Parents & Students Reviews:
Tallebudgera State School has 13 reviews with an overall rating of 2.8. Some reviews have been edited for clarity.
Despite what a few of the reviews say on here, Zoe is doing a wonderful job. She teaches the children how to show respect to all, including themselves, and to develop an attitude of never giving up. Zoe and her staff are approachable and care about the kids very much, showing them the same respect they expect.
There are always going to be people who feel the need to have a whinge about how inconvenient life is, and that is what these 1 star reviews are. The school parking is challenging, like every other school. There are free busses available, plenty of bike routes, and the teachers (including head staff) waits there until the last kid is picked up. As for the bullying claims, yes, there are bullies. There are bullies everywhere. Our kids need to learn how to be resilient in the face of people behaving badly. I have approached teachers and Steven Gaggin about a particular group that started to get a bit too big for their boots and it was handled promptly and discretely.
Parents from outside of the catchment literally sleep overnight to get a place in this school and I feel lucky to be in the catchment. I highly recommend Talle State School.
Zoe leads like a dictator. Many teachers and parents are not happy with how the school is being run under her leadership. Many good teachers have now left.
Our middle child is in a classroom with a clearly violent child that needs numerous support staff around him constantly, and Zoe shows to favour this one child over the safety of all other children in the room. Numerous children are going to school in fear of this child and nothing is being done about it.
