As an active and longtime member of Temple Beth El of Boca Raton, I am eager to spread the word about this wonderful temple community to people everywhere. There are many reasons why I am a Temple Beth El member. First and foremost, this is a congregation where people matter. From the moment you enter the beautiful Boca Raton campus, you feel a sense of warmth and friendliness from Temple Beth El’s outstanding clergy, administrative staff, and from temple members.

As a Reform congregation, Temple Beth El offers inspiring Friday night Shabbat services led by truly caring and learned rabbis and musically gifted cantors. In addition to Shabbat service and celebrations, there are numerous opportunities for Jewish ritual and holiday observances. Programmatically Temple Beth offers many learning opportunities — be it classes for adults seeking advanced knowledge or Temple Beth El’s unparalleled religious school program for preschoolers all the way through high school seniors.

I admire Temple Beth for its commitment to reaching out to those in need in the surrounding community here in Boca Raton and in Israel.
Temple Beth El’s history of social justice and its legacy of “repairing the world,” has given me a feeling of pride in my temple and its members. It is truly the center of my life here in Boca Raton.

If you are looking to join a synagogue that attracts interesting and kind-hearted people, is home to wonderful clergy, and that offers a myriad of great programs, leadership opportunities, clubs to participate in, and a sacred space where the Sabbath and holidays can be ushered in, and where ritual observances can take place, then Temple Beth El is where you need to visit. I think you will share my feelings exactly once you have been here to visit.

Temple Beth El of Boca Raton has literally saved my life. I moved to FL after my dad passed during Covid, where no one was allowed to visit him. It was truly a devastating time. In addition I had gone through a divorce and my mom recently passed. TBE has offered me so much love and support. I have an entire new network of friends. I feel so close to the members and clergy in such a short amount of time. They are truly exceptional. The staff, volunteers, board members and clergy go above and beyond to make one feel at home. The security officers are approachable and always help us to feel safe as well. I was able to join a few social circles in the synagogue, attend Torah study, become the leader of my Chavurah, enjoy singing with the choir and even had the honor of being a soloist on the bema a few times. I was recently approached by a single, male member after one of the services and feel hopeful that I don’t have to be alone in life anymore. I always have my TBE family and this is irreplaceable. ?? Thank you Temple Beth El of Boca Raton!
I’m not “that” religious…. what ever “that” means. I grew up in the five towns, Long Island. I went to Temple Beth El in Cedarhurst, NY where I was Bar Mitzvah’. So, when I moved to Boca Raton and wanted to find the best place to provide a Jewish education for my family, Temple Beth El seemed like the best choice, and what a great choice it was! The temple provided a loving, non-judgmental, environment that gave me a feeling of care and inclusion.
Fast forward 27 years, and I still feel the same way. TBE Boca staff goes the extra mile explaining the history and interpretation of Torah every Shabbat, every holiday, and every day in between. TBE Boca makes Jewish worship fun and enjoyable. Now with services on Zoom, I recommend watching the services to my Christian friends, as well. The reason… TBE Boca has enough love for an entire community, even if you’re not “that” religious.
