I’m gonna be brutally honest here and say the school district has a serious number of problems ranging from discipline to keeping its publicity in a good light. Last year a girl almost died because she had a metabolism disorder and passed out because one of the coaches made her run suicides as a punishment even though she wasn’t supposed to forced to run long distances for long periods of time. The school never address any problems and mr solis magically didn’t receive any of the emails that the parent sent to him. They cover everything up that puts them in a bad light. I’m glad I moved districts after spending up to eighth grade in that hell hole of a district.
Terrell ISD is too preoccupied with raising the testing averages, rather than an actual, quality education. Kids aren’t taught Greek philosophy, political understanding, or how to fill out a tax form. Instead their taught that you must highlight the information in a question, underline the question, then find the information in the text, highlight it, write down why the information is correct, then choose an answer. They’re taught this all the way, K-12 until they graduate, with nary a bit of real world skills
A school district stuck in the 50’s who is more worried about “dress code” than quality teaching & learning. Weak sauce!!
