I highly recommend Thales to others. We have three children attending Thales Academy in Holly Springs in grades 5, 1 and KG. We have been so grateful for the wonderful experience that our children are having. Prior to Thales our children attended a highly ranked public school in the western US and then a private international school while we were living overseas. Thales rivals both of these and in our minds has many specific advantages. We feel like we always know how our children are doing at school with valuable, even daily feedback on assignments and behavior. Children wear basic uniforms that make it easier for them to get ready in the morning, fostering cleanliness and respect and allowing the children to integrate better with their peers. Also, Thales has done an incredible job of handling the Covid-19 situation and we feel very safe having them there. The year round school schedule allows our family to enjoy consistent time off to have more meaningful experiences outside of school as well as providing the children important time for rejuvenation. The teachers and staff have all been top notch. The children are happy at school and we are happy as their parents. The children are excelling and it is such a great fit for our family.
My twins are in 4th grade and have been attending Thales in Holly Springs for 1 full quarter at this point. I have been very impressed with the quality of the education they are receiving in comparison to their previous school (Oakview ES). The curriculum is very organized and thorough. My boys have homework some nights and I can see they are being academically challenged. The teachers are pleasant and very communicative. Assignments are graded in a timely manner and the teachers are quick to offer detailed feedback on graded assignments by request.
One of my concerns with switching to a private school is they are not legally required to offer a differentiated education, which is a concern since my twins were in the AIG program at Oakview. This has not been a problem at Thales because they are able to bump the children up a grade for certain subjects as needed to offer differentiation.
The uniform policy is very reasonable and you do not have to use a uniform store. The tuition is also quite affordable for a private school.
Overall I have enjoyed being a part of Thales and we plan to have our boys continue at this school for the indefinite future. I would highly recommend it based on my experience so far.
Five stars isn’t enough stars to describe how pleased I am with my child attending this school. Since my son started, I’ve seen nothing but positive progress in his writing, reading/comprehension, Math, Science and History. If I was ever to relocate, I would make sure to move somewhere that had a Thales Academy nearby. Hoping to see a Thales High School built quickly in the Fuquay/Holly-Spring area! Highly recommend any parent in the area that wants the best for their child to check them out.
