The Actors Workshop teaches true film acting. If you want to learn what that means, you should check it out. I had taken some acting classes before, so there were certain aspects of acting technique I thought I got. After joining the workshop I discovered I barely knew anything. That was a little scary at first, but I realized what I had previously been taught involved so much thinking it was overwhelming sometimes.

I figured the learning curve would be steep, but Rob Adams is a great teacher. It doesn’t matter if you have zero acting experience or if you’ve been acting for years. Rob has a way of tailoring his critiques to each individual person regardless of their level. I think he has a gift for understanding people and he’s really invested in each of his students. Class always feels like a place we can ask questions not just about technique, but about auditioning and the industry too. Rob’s patient and capable of explaining multiple ways so what we’re learning can click for all of us. Most importantly, Rob encourages his students to embrace their own uniqueness and challenges us to think about things from different perspectives. It takes time, dedication and hard work like any craft does, but it’s fun. Acting makes so much more sense now and that’s all thanks to Rob and the workshop!

The Actors Workshop is a great school if your serious about acting. Before attending the workshop, I had my mind set on only attending the school for 3 months, because I figured that’s all I needed before I started auditioning. Boy was I wrong! There is so much out there in this industry to learn from auditioning technique, being on set and the business side that it could be very overwhelming. However, Rob inspires, empowers, and very engaging which makes you feel more relaxed. Rob has years of experience and insight in the industry, which he is willing to share to help you have a successful career if you put in the work. He has helped me with every aspect of acting. The Actors Workshop will equip you with the necessary tools needed to not only make it in this difficult business, but to sustain a career at the highest level. The class content is very precise and engaging, which keeps you interested in the material your being taught. I am very thankful to be a part of the Actors Workshop and will continue sharping my skills to be a successful working actress.
