I truly do appreciate CART for what it is and the many classes that it offers and the fact that it brings students from different schools across separate districts together. Its amazing to be a part of a teaching organization that gives you skills that will actually prepare you for life in the work force. I was a student last year of the Marketing and Advertising lab and I can say it was truly the greatest year of my high school career. Due to the class’s relatively small size of 30 students and the numerous communication skills your taught and constantly working with people whose functionality is opposite and similar to yours really created this sense of family with everyone in the class instead of class mates. The teachers in the Marketing Lab ( Patrick Beggs, Bret Rosander, and Adam Higginbotham) are all their own colorful characters and had a way to help a student build from their ideas and mistakes but never tearing a student down. As a second year at CART I am taking the more popular multimedia lab. Although it has received greater funding and has top of the line equipment and programs in honesty it really fails to create the sense of community and family marketing was able to create, whether or not this is due to its larger size of 80+ students or a greater disconnect from teachers I can say that instead of feeling apart of something greater I’m just another student waiting for the teacher to finish droning on so I can continue working on a project that affects a hefty majority of my grade. All in all CART is an amazing experience and if given the chance I would definitely attend again and I would send my kids here. I highly recommend this to everyone I know, since it does teach valuable life skills.
From 2015, I didn’t think that i was going to pass, but getting to understand their knowledge to me, I started to get used to this place. Not only the labs, but made some new friends, which usually I don’t make some,, they were cool folks and the teachers as well. They gave an opportunity such as a member of the 1424A Dancing Panda Robotics for VEX which I was for two year since then. To those teachers who worked there, it been an honor to work with you some for my two years during those times.
CART is an amazing school. My daughter attends the school as a junior also attending Clovis High and she loves CART. All of her instructors have been amazing people that have really made a positive impact on her life and education. I’m so impressed and extremely appreciative of this opportunity given to my daughter to attend the school. I also want to add that the nice lady that works in the front office is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Thank you to all.
