I unequivocally and enthusiastically recommend The Chestnut Hill School for all preschool and elementary years. As this school year comes to an end, we are reflecting not just on the past year but the several years that we have been at CHS– all which have been years of joyful years of growth for our children. Our oldest started at CHS in Pre-K; after we joined the community we wished we had experienced the amazing Beginners year and, therefore, chose Beginners as our entry point for our younger child. We are now in the Upper School at CHS and every stage of learning builds upon the strong foundation of each earlier year. CHS is committed to educating the whole child in an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity while perfectly blending academic challenge and nurture. Our children could not be more different from one another, but are both thriving and love going to school every day. During school vacations they miss their friends and teachers and wish they could return to school earlier! The community of parents is warm and inclusive with families, faculty, and staff sharing the same value system. As parents of elementary school aged children we find the community supportive in every step of our parenting journey and appreciate that this age group is the sole focus of the school.

Words can’t begin to describe how pleased I am with the Chestnut Hill School. CHS’s commitment to academic excellence, diversity and community is evident in everything that they do. Both my kids started there at the age of 3. I have watched them grow from shy kids to confident, empathetic, well informed young boys. The eagerness on their faces to get to school in the morning, and the non-stop talking about their day in the evening, are clear indicators to me that I made the right choice in CHS. CHS has a rich nurturing environment focused on educating the “whole child”. My kids are happy and thriving at CHS. I have also formed an amazing partnership with their teachers and friendships with the parent community that I believe will last a lifetime. We have become a part of The Chestnut Hill School Family and could not have been more pleased. My daughter is now in her fifth academic year at CHS. As an only child it was always important for us to provide her an environment that helped with her social needs along with an excellent academic setting. CHS has been the perfect fit for our needs. She has continually flourished at CHS. Not only has she ( and we ) developed some great and lasting friendships my wife and I are constantly amazed at the well balanced curriculum taught by an amazing group of thoughtful and dedicated educators. The Chestnut Hill School is truly a gem.
