I think that it has a very good arts and music departments. I love the shows that the school put on. However there are a few areas in which the school can improve, just like any other school. I wish Mr Allman the best in the new academic year and hope that he can get an outstanding ofsted report!!
Average school, I’ve seen worse. Personally I believe that the students are given lack of choice about key decisions that affect their life. This may be avoided by consulting the parents but this is rarely done. For example, the school offered to the year 9 students in 2016 the option of GCSE PE. When the school year started months later this was continued and students spent a few months learning the GCSE curriculum. The school then decided on their own that they were going to change this GCSE to a BTEC with no consent from the students and/or parents. Although they believed this was the right decision they could’ve told us the problems and risks of giving us the decision. Along with this they shouldn’t have offered us a subject that they can’t maintain. Now I have a BTEC instead of a GCSE, and if I am told they’re equal one more time I’m going to write a worse review, grrr. Also since they personally without anyone’s agreements and changed the qualifications I am receiving, they should’ve given us the option to move to another subject. So overall this is unfair. There are other examples of events where no involvement has been made from outside opinions. Some teachers make great efforts to help their students and others not so much. Departments like English are quite strong but other subjects like Spanish I can’t say the same. Personally I believe that my knowledge of Spanish has decreased after months of ‘learning.’ Also the amount of supplies are uncanny.
Very good school. Teachers are informative, friendly and helpful. Parking is always available and the use of a leisure centre is very helpful.
Its meh, not great but it’s alright. Most of the pupils are stupid idiots and some of the teachers don’t know what they’re doing
Great learning environment, and classes are smooth and great specially art class.
