I have been invited to provide various presentations on the topic of LinkedIn to students and alumni of The Geelong College both online and in person over the last two years. It has been wonderful to work with Mr Mike Howell and various students and have such an engaged audience throughout the presentations. I have been impressed by their participation and follow up of the suggested tasks too. Sue Ellson 🙂
The college has a nice collection of victorian architecture buildings on campus
An excellent co-educational day/boarding school close to the centre of Geelong. The senior school campus has occupied the same site and beautiful old buildings since the school was founded. Produces good results academically, in the arts and in sports.
my mum went to this school and she teaches here now and my cousins at that school and my older brother move here next year for grade 10 but i dont want to because i am happy 5 star
I attended this school from 1965 to 1970. The whole school culture was totally toxic with bullying, heckling, racism, and a general attitude of superiority from all staff, right from the aloof and snobby principal Peter Thwaites that dribbled all the way down the system. Teachers “swanning” around like ego tripping rock stars, and calling us only by our surnames, while we had to address them as “Sir”. Corporal punishment abounded. Today you must understand that you have one of the most loving, compassionate, and caring human beings in the world as your school principal. While Dr. Peter Miller is at the helm of this once again great school, the direction of the school is assured. A truly amazing man, and human being.
