As a first time mother, finding a school you feel comfortable sending your baby too is quite difficult! On top of that, all Charlotte daycares have a waitlist a year or more long and there seems to be little visibility into where you are in that line. Out of all the waitlists we were on, Mikaela at Goddard was the most organized and responsive. She made sure we understood timing and were able to plan accordingly. Goddard was my top choice for daycares, but we needed to send my son to our third choice daycare until a spot opened up at Goddard.
When we compare the two daycares, the Goddard curriculum is much more extensive. They do activities every day no matter the age so it feels like they’re focused on development. The management team is kind and welcoming and knows the name of every kid (which to me is so impressive). The teachers are always calm, smiling and engaging with the babies. I’m an anxious new mother and the teachers are always responsive to my messages and take the time to speak with me about my son’s schedule, food, etc. They also have done great with our baby led weaning food plan. We’ve really enjoyed our experience at Goddard and are excited to see our little boy develop with them over the next few years.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience at the Goddard School in Matthews, NC. It’s not just a daycare, but a true school with a top-notch educational environment. The teachers are exceptional – they’re dedicated, nurturing, and truly invested in each child’s growth. The level of parent support and communication is outstanding, making us feel connected and involved every step of the way.

The curriculum is nothing short of fantastic. It’s engaging, age-appropriate, and tailored to foster a love for learning in every child. Our son has flourished under their guidance. What’s truly special is the caring and loving atmosphere that permeates every corner of the school. It’s evident that the staff genuinely care about each child’s well-being and development.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a gem in the Goddard School. Our son looks forward to each day, and we have seen tremendous progress in his social, emotional, and academic skills. If you’re seeking a place that truly values and nurtures your child’s growth, this school is it!!
