I thought the facility was clean and office staff was responsive. Facility is modern, and use of tech is good. Masks should be mandatory for drop off/pick up and kids and staff
. For the cost I would expect snacks to be better and lunch to be provided. The main reason we left was because my son did not want to be there, if he doesn’t feel comfortable how can he learn? Took less than a week to acclimate him to an entirely new daycare to the point he was waving goodbye to me and asking when we were leaving to go back. Over a month in a different classroom at goddard and he hated it. Was panicked from the parking lot, not happy. Not sure what was happening but I think it has something to do with the toilet, or diapers or something, since he is a little behind with toilet training. He was doing great with the classroom he was initially in, and then a huge shift occurred with new class and teachers, same group of kids. I received very generic feedback and was essentially told he would adjust, I wasn’t willing to wait longer than a month to see what happens. Maybe things would have gotten better, but when it comes to children not worth the chance.
We currently have two children at Goddard Middle River (Greenleigh). One is in the infant program and one is preschool age. We are so grateful for the teachers who joyfully support our children’s growth academically and emotionally as they go through various big milestones. As we have navigated big transitions (moving, welcoming a new baby), the office team has patiently communicated with us, answered our questions and proactively reached out to us, and worked on plans to support our children. My oldest child comes home excited each day to tell us about the things he learned and the games he played and on the weekends he asks when we’ll go back to school. He feels supported by his teachers who really know a lot about him. They’ve made learning fun for him, which is so important as a foundation for the future. The classrooms are bright and inviting and have so much to explore with great, safe outdoor play space right outside. This type of environment is expensive, but it feels like a valuable investment to know my children are safe, supported and having fun while learning.
The Goddard School-Greenleigh has been such an amazing place for our daughter! She started when she was 9 months old, only having been with family, and she is now two and such a social butterfly! Her teachers are just wonderful and you can tell just how much they love her and each child in the class. The curriculum is very child centered and hands on. The pictures sent to me from the day are the best and you can see how happy she is at school and I love to see the pictures paired with their learning objectives! The school is beautiful, clean and very welcoming. We recommend Goddard to everyone we know looking for a daycare/preschool! Thank you for loving Leah and making us feel so at home!
