If you’re looking for employment I’d stay away from here. I wasted a week of my time at this school. After hired I soon developed a terrible canker sore on my tongue that caused pain when I spoke and ate. Throughout the day the pain gets worse. It ended up causing an earache, swollen lymph nodes and me feeling quite feverish and sluggish. I called to say I couldn’t come in to train because I wouldn’t be able to speak to the kids and ask questions about how the place was ran. I was made to feel bad about this and told it wasn’t something to call off for. I even sent them pictures of my swollen tongue. The following day I came in even tho I was feeling unwell. I told my boss I wasn’t feeling well and would probably not be able to work all day. It was decided that I was going to do course work on the break room computer. I felt worse throughout the day so I chose to lay my head down as I listened and answered my questions. I received a 100% on my test because I was paying attention. And ended up leaving early because of the way I was feeling.
Now the girls in the break room were talking bad about the parents, students and other staff members. It was quite shocking since these r the people who r suppose to be showing positive behavior. They talked about which parents had attitudes, which were a mess especially at drop off. They talked about the children who struggle in a negative way, they judged what was packed for lunches and etc. it was very clear this is a drama filled place. After going home early I received an email saying my employment would no longer be moved forward because I was “sleeping” apparently the staff in the break room said I was even tho I wasn’t. Instead of my boss speaking to me about it she fired me through email. It’s incredibly disappointing considering I wasn’t sleeping and she knew I did not feel well that morning. I had laid my head down to push through my work since this school encourages teachers working while sick. I do not know why the girls would say I was “sleeping” when I was answering all my questions while listening with the course work videos. And there’s proof of me completing my work. Truthful I think I was fired because my mouth injury became an inconvenience. So my time was wasted because the school was not patient to let me heal that week. It’s very frustrating, the school wouldn’t tolerate children talking bad about one another but they allow the adults to do it.
Just keep in mind if u want to work here and don’t like drama I’d find a new job. It’s 100% something I do not like being part of. They also encourage teachers to work while sick. And if you’re a parent there is a very highly chance they talk about you behind closed doors. Especially how you are at drop off. And I only got to listen to two days of the drama. Good luck whoever works here next. I was very excited to work with the kids and ended up very disappointed.

Edit- the reason you fired me was because I was “sleeping” as you said in your email. Or was it actually because I was sick like I’ve said and you were upset about that and found a loop hole. I sent you two emails after explaining the situation. It’s unfortunate you fired someone who was sick.

The owner, teachers and staff are all AMAZING at this Goddard location. We looked at a few daycares before landing at Goddard and felt such a warm, family atmosphere right when we walked through for the first time. The bond the teachers have in the infant room is pure magic. We actually were even recommended this daycare from another highly rated daycare in New Albany when we were asking for other places they would recommend if it wasn’t their daycare.

They have been beyond accommodating with some personal issues that have come up with our family. I know my baby is getting the best care and learning so much. Couldn’t be happier with our decision of choosing The Goddard on county line!
