Have worked at the Academy for a few years and its a real pleasure to come to work everyday. The students are respectful and willing to learn. Staff are generous and willing to share, I always feel supported. The highest praise a teacher can give a school is that they would be willing and happy to send their own children to the place that they work. I would be more than happy to send my own child to the Hazeley Academy.
Being in sixth form and having been part of Hazeley since year 7 I can vouch and say that I couldn’t of seen myself anywhere else. The teachers are excellent and give great support and the bond between students makes it such more of a community.
As a student at this school, I’ve felt supported through all my decisions about my career and encouraged to participate in new opportunities that arise. This has helped me to develop new skills and attributes which are useful in the future.
I went to this school and overall I had a mixed experience I felt that the punishments given to disruptive students was not good enough as they clearly didn’t learn from these on top of that many students in my year became increasingly worse during their time it seems R2L spends more time fussing over minor issues than over the real problems in the school. Don’t get me wrong the school is ok but not good and I feel sorry for all who currently go there.
The school offers amazing opportunities for all of its students. Staff are dedicated and passionate about what they do. Standards of behaviour and support are exceptionally high.
