We attended an instrumental music concert by Candlelight orchestra at this place. It is an old Victorian building with lots of space. Unfortunately there is no parking, so had to find nearby coin parking. The seats are very uncomfortable and very old. My one had broken spring and caused significant backpain. I saw few people sneezing, probably due to dust. Unless this place is properly maintained and taken care of, I really think it shouldn’t be opened.
We are really grateful for the time you invested in to Coco prior to her exam. It was a real privilege for her to have such good quality teaching to polish her in preparation for the exam. It has cemented her mum’s decision to move her over to study with the National Theatre. I know she moves into Grade 4 technically stronger and more prepared than she would have without your incredible support. Thank you so much, we are very grateful.
The National Theatre Ballet School has helped me so much to grow as a dancer and an artist. The staff are so supportive and share so much knowledge with us as students. I wake up every morning excited to go to class and learn from some of the best teachers in Melbourne!
The NTBS has been inspiring and teaching my daughter since 2013 when she first began learning there. She has loved how much fun the classes are, and how well-prepared she is for her exams. But the high point for her was always the incredible performances in that lovely Art Deco theatre. The online classes during COVID have been nothing short of exceptional. At a time when my daughter was so cut off from her “normal”, having the constancy of ballet classes has made a world of difference.
Incredible experience at this school. Staff are inspirational, the school teaches you what it’s like to be in a company and sets you on the road to a career in dance. Nobody who goes to this school will ever be able to forget the experience. It’s amazing.
