My son has been going to Sammamish Montessori School for the last few months and my experience with the school has been excellent. My son loves going to school and looks forward to going to school everyday and that is something I love to see as a parent.

My priority was to find a school that provides a safe environment for my kid and at the same time engage him in activities that encourage exploration of the things around him. My son’s teachers have been great. They observe my child and act as a guide to him, allowing him to spend as much time as he wants on activities that interest him. Doing so has increased his focus on activities he loves to play.

The staff members are wonderful and very approachable. I especially want to give a shout out to Jabeen Hussain and Kalai Elango, they make extra effort to understand each child and have their best interests at heart. This has led me to build a positive and trusting relationship with them. Sammamish Montessori School being my child’s first school experience, I feel confident that my child is in good hands and is getting quality education.

The school’s approach to a child’s learning and development is something that aligns with my thoughts as well. They teach new skills at different ages and at the same time provide independence to then explore their skills creatively on their own. If there are artworks involved those are given to parents regularly. My son’s teacher Mrs Rahman provides in-depth feedback on conference days which covers different aspects of his learning at school. These in-depth conversations with her have been very valuable to me.

The school is well organized. They organize visits from various professionals to expose children to different cultures and broaden their understanding of the world. There are also a few visits for children to visit different places. There was a visit recently to a farm where there were a lot of different toddler-friendly activities organized in the farm, this was an opportunity for him to bond with his classmates and make memories that had a positive impact when he went back to a regular school day.

They also have a drive-thru system for drop-offs and pickups, doing so from the car helped my child build a routine faster and transition smoother during the initial days. This also works well for parents who are in a rush, especially in the mornings.

Overall, we are very happy and recommend Sammamish Montessori School to anyone looking for a great preschool.

Our son joined SMS when he was 3 and half years old and was quickly able to adapt and started loving going to school in about 2-3 weeks. He loves his teachers and gels well with other kids in the classroom. Every week we see him pick up new interests and skills. The teachers are also very caring and communicate well to ease kids from different backgrounds and abilities into the Montessori curriculum. It is a remarkable institution that fosters a love of learning and a respect for diversity in children. The curriculum is based on hands-on experiences that engage the senses and the mind. The school also encourages children to develop practical life skills, such as personal hygiene, dressing themselves, and taking care of their environment. By following the Montessori method, the school helps children discover their unique talents and potentials. I think this is a wonderful way of preparing children for the future.

We have loved our experience with Sammamish Montessori School.

We have two kids who went / currently going to Sammamish Montessori School. Specifically both of my kids were / are involved in the STEAM and Montessori classrooms and they ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

The school curriculum is very innovative, educational and creative, the teachers are absolutely wonderful and passionate, and the supporting staff and administrators are always there to help answer any questions.

As parents of younger kids, we strive to find the safest and warmest place to ensure our kids grow up happy, healthy and curious. This school continues to amaze us with the various activities (field trips!) their inclusiveness of different cultures (celebration of Harvest and Diwali) and inspirational teaching methods that make learning fun! (In regular and after school activities)

We would absolutely recommend this school to anyone who wants a fun, safe and inspiring learning environments for their kids!
