HIGHSCHOOL REVIEW.This School is terrible concerning student life.WHEN THE WIFI IS DOWN THERE IS NO BACKUP LESSON PLAN EVER. It is a bad environment for children to learn happily. Majority of the staff is terrible with the exception of a handful of shining stars. The administration does not care about the students. Some teachers are so terrible at teaching that you start to wonder if they were hired on personality. Assistant Principals do not try to relate to students at all, but instead yell at them in the hallways like prison guards to take off their jackets upon arrival. The school does not care about anything that isn’t a sport performing and fines arts are only funded just enough to make the school look well rounded,. When new ideas are brought up they are DISMISSED without being looked at or taken seriously. The education is good and students end up with good grades but that is only because they have to end up teaching themselves., but students are forced to do so much group work that individual work is a struggle to complete. upperclassmen guidance is so unhelpful that students are forced to go to middle school and underclassmen counselors for help. AP CLASSES ARE UNFAIRLY DISTRIBUTED AND IF YOU HAVE N’T BEEN IN PHYSICS, OR HONORS CLASSES SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR YOU HAVE A LOWER CHANCE OF BEING PUT I THE APS YOU WANT WHEN YOU’RE AN UPPERCLASSMAN.
I have two of my kids in Scholars’ academy. One in Middle School and one in High School. Can’t thank enough for the dedication and commitment of Teachers and Principal in giving a World Class ecosystem for learning and expressing one’s individuality. It’s rare to find a school with such highly talented scholars and a diverse ethnic background. Scholars’ Academy is a blessing to our community.
The school is an accelerated school for advanced kids. Struggling kids might not do as well in this type of enviroument i must admit since the education system is not built for underachievers. Using technology to meet every kids personal need gives teachers lest stress worrying about 33 kids. Its an amazing school. Like barely anything bad happens.
