Our son has attended The Science Academy STEM Magnet since 6th grade and we can not say enough about the school, administrators, teachers and families. The program is highly rigorous and challenging (all students in the program are studying at highly advanced levels for science and math). The homework load can be overwhelming at times but there is a terrific support network to ensure that students stay on track. Our son has made great friends and loves his teachers. The academics are top notch. For the second consecutive year, The Science Academy was the number one school in the state of California with the highest scores among grades 6 through 8 in English, math and the English and math combination. For kids who love math and science and are up for the challenge, this is one of the best school options in LA.
This school is absolutely amazing! It’s great for students wishing to go for a job in the STEM field. There are so many opportunities for robotics and the science field. The teachers are probably the best teachers you’ll ever meet, they’re the nicest and do really well on making sure the student understands the material being taught along with preparing you for high school. The other students are very nice, friendly, and welcoming. Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence applies to everyone here, and this really sets it apart from many other schools. School environment is fantastic the campus is just the perfect size, it’s not that hard to navigate yourself around after the first few visits. The staff is very kind and friendly, and overall, this school is just incredible!
The BEST school in the LAUSD. I wouldnt want to go anywhere else. The teachers are all kind and generous. Please come and join. Were the smartest students in California and thats a fact! Go Supernovas!!
