Edited: Unfortunately I have to change my review. I have withdrawn my daughter. My daughter went through 3 teachers in one year. Hot breakfasts were no longer offered to kids. I have pictures of the menu to show. For the price you are paying; Poptarts for breakfast should not even be on the menu. The owner kept making excuses that she “didn’t know”. I truly felt the owner neglected the kids. Also went through multiple directors since the change in owners. There used to be a “family” environment where teachers and parents communicated freely on the progress of your kids but the owner stated if the communication was more than 5 minutes between the teacher and parent – it was against state licensing regulations. But not feeding our kids nutritional meals isn’t against state licensing regulations.
I had zero problems with the staff and teachers.
My main issue is with the new owner. She hasn’t been honest about certain events that have happened at the school which are very important to us as parents. Just have open and honest communication. Unfortunately this place no longer aligned with the values and standards that it once had.

2023 review made for contest incentive: Walden is a great school with amazing staff and teachers. The NAEYC accreditation provides a great structured curriculum so the students are well prepared for school.

Walden was a great school until new management especially Shahin. This lady does not care about the kids. I personally saw a new teacher in the infant room slamming a baby onto a changing mat when I came up there to pick up my granddaughter. This lady was wearing a hoodie. Very unprofessional. I recently learned my granddaughter had not been offered hot breakfasts only cereal and pop tarts. The owner NOW wants to claim to make a change. Learned this school was broken into and none of the parents were informed. New director is rude and looks unprofessional just like the owner. They are pushing out the experienced teachers for their personal gain. Beware of sending your kids here. Very dangerous. However this review does not affect the owner in any way. She honestly does not care and neither does the puppet director.
This place used to be a safe place for kids. Under the new ownership – Shahin – she does not respond properly. She keeps saying give her a chance to change things or uses the excuse that she never knew etc. Teachers are getting fired or leaving. When Mr. Mike owned this place; it has a solid family atmosphere with the best communication. New owners have only had this place for over a year and have gone through 3 directors. The teachers who are currently there are trying their best to maintain the walden name and what mike built but ultimately can’t due to poor leadership and management. Do not enroll your kid here unless you have NCI cause that is all that the owner cares about…the $$$. Shahin does NOT care about your kids. Clearly the directors don’t care either which is why they leave.
