Teachers has no manners against pupils in the school, if they had a chance to hit them you would, o use to be apart of this school and it was so bad I even tried to end my life ba use or this school, so many bullies and vulnerable children/teens in this school, counselling isn’t good enough they do not help with ur mental health or if u are having a bad time with learning they just expect you to just get on with it and learn everything if I had kids I wouldn’t send them here. I had someone in my yr group who had social anxiety I told one of the yea here if they could help him and they just said “oh that’s just how he is” they didn’t help him at all which was very rude and annoying!!
Worst school what I hade a chance to contact with. People working there don’t have any idea what they doing. Receive information hard to get. Speak with someone about important things difficult. Changing anything after severe applays still nothing. Bullying in school and teachers not prevent with problem. If you think to send kid on there think twice.
You know what I think of this school? Well I can say with confidence that this school has some potential and is willing to improve BUT! the big downside of this school is not excluding students for red line behaviour and even bothering with a statement that should be delt with with in a minimum of 1-3 days depending on the severity, some teachers not even teaching ANYTHING! for example Dr.Dickson. As a year 10 student and almost year 11 my GCSES are being less and less easier due to the lack of English staff or any staff in general. year 10 cant be missing out on vital work that will help them in year 11 with only 3-5 months left till year 11 I dont know what will happen but as it turns out its not good and with constant diruptions its getting super annoying! they need to sharpen the rules even more!
As a previous student I say my time at Nottingham academy was great the teachers were all lovely. But until when the stress of exams hit it was very hard for me to study, we only had a few permanent teachers eg.I had taken music for a gcse but then the teacher had disappeared and then we had a supply which made it difficult for us as we went from a gcse to a btec. There was more supplies then permanent teachers at my time during the hardest part of year 11. I would recommend sending your child to a different school where you know they are getting the education they need. They’re we’re too many bullies at this school when I was there, so if you’re child does come home acting a different way they’re doing it because they want to fit in but certain individuals are putting them down for it calling them names or even physical fights.
This is a great school my son is now graduate and wants to become a doctor and do surgery
