This is a special place with caring, responsive teachers and a warm, welcoming community where your child will be seen and nurtured. The new head of school actually knows every kid’s name. It’s a small thing, but makes a difference. As for academics, they’ve introduced a new reading/writing program in the lower school and I’ve seen my child flourish with it. And when he was getting bored with math, his teacher took the initiative to offer more advanced work to him and a few other students. With only 15 kids in a class (and two teachers), this kind of adaptability is possible, which makes all the difference.
All Wesley cares about is money. You will not be accepted to the school unless you have a million dollar house. The head of admissions is a complete nightmare. I think her name is Vera. She has been caught stalking wealthy prospective families to see how nice their houses are. She will gladly badmouth your child after their evaluation, if they know you don’t have a 6 figure salary. Also, they will sooner send you away than have to deal with your child that has special needs. Booooo Wesley.
We loved the school, we have a grade 2 and grade 6, the school gave us all the support we need at the beginning, making an easy transition to our kids and our families into the school. Verena is great, she was our main point of contact and provided all support with love and care to our family
Cant recommend enough, the school is very strong academic and in morals and they have a great community of parents that are very supportive
