We love Wilmington Preschool of the Arts!!! My daughter adores all of the teachers and has absolutely blossomed under their care. They are incredibly supportive of her needs and are accommodating to my parenting style (Attachment Parenting). I love that they don’t have a “one size fits all kids” philosophy of teaching. The staff is warm, funny, and amazing with the kids. I often find myself chatting with them as I would friends and family. If you’re looking for a stuffy day care filled with toddlers with giant bows on their heads and wearing their Sunday best, this is not the school for you. If you want your kid to be happy, inspired, and educated- then this IS the place.
I toured several other well known preschools in the area and even started her at one with terrible results. My son attends an area private school which offers an outstanding preschool curriculum… However, I plan on keeping my daughter at WPA until she starts kindergarten!
I absolutely love everything about Wilmington Preschool of the Arts. Our experience has been fantastic. They have the best curriculum and most importantly the most loving and caring teachers. Teachers really care about the children, get to know them very well personally and work with them individually on whatever they might need help. In our case it has been potty-training. My daughter’s vocabulary has improved tremendously since she started the program. My husband and I are both teachers and we are bilingual but our daughter made a lot more progress at school than she did with us. She has also developed great appreciation for music and art in general. They have a very cozy and clean facility. No matter how busy they are, they always welcome you with a smile. In addition, I really appreciate how good they are at keeping parents informed of everything happening at the Center.
