idk. lack of discipline across all students, a lot of the learning is self-directed with the horrendous learning environment which in turn impacts student mental.

++ its honestly a constant loop of procrastinating, then that one week where everyone’s stressing out over a sac they forgot to revise last minute. work ethic is generally reactive as opposed to proactive.

don’t get me started on the toilets either. if you’re lucky your stall has a lock on it

this school is so nice and my english teacher is nice and always polite and fun same as humanities, math, HPE, food tec, ICT, RE and language
For starters, this school is completely driven by their community imagery. The bar for their care of students, the curriculum and facilities is in hell. The school is very racist and rules are blown totally out of proportion. for example yr12 students are not allowed to wear bomber jackets because they “look too similar” to Tarneit senior it’s a horrible excuse for saying they don’t want to be affiliated with schools with a “bad imagine” Tarneit senior has great learning environments, better teachers, with more lenient uniform rules and they wonder why students would rather go to public school. Teachers have been spotted smoking cigarettes then later coming to class smelling like tobacco but a student wearing black socks instead of white is where you draw the line? we won’t even talk about the school fees being contributed to everything but fixing classrooms with rotting floor. get a grip
Highly racist school, no wonder several students have left this school to move to Tarneit College. I am ASHAMED to attend this school. Do they have no shame that people leaving a PRIVATE school, to attend a PUBLIC school. This says a lot about Thomas Carr College. I’m definitely leaving this school next year and I hope I never see it again. Not sending my future kids here or recommending this place to anyone I know. If you want happy, intelligent children, don’t send your child to this school. Get new staff ASAP. Hope you take this into consideration.

Update: Nearly got suspended because my scarf was black and not navy blue. It was a freezing day on top of that and my jacket wasn’t with me. Before you ask, no they didn’t offer me a jacket to borrow for the day. Ridiculous.

Went to skl 2 years ago loved the staff and the smoky scented bathrooms. It always smelt of strawberries and watermelon. Love the students for taking up the initiative to scent the lovely bathrooms. Really love the uniform policy, got suspended only 4 times. The principal thought to change the school took him 10 years to do so still isn’t finished. Kind regards previous student.
