My daughter is being bullied, ostrisized and alienated at this school the asst principle is telling me that the group of girls that are doing this says my daughter is calling them names, I tried to explain why would she approach 5 to 10 girls and call them names. These girls are being spoke to as a group not one on one, this assistant principle went to there lunch table and asked the table at large who does not like this girl and who does not want her sitting at this table, I told him my daughter was going to move tables because of the verbal abuse so why would he speak to the table. My daughter has since moved tables. this same group of girls approach her table and call her names, recently my daughter was sitting at a table alone eating her lunch and this same group of girls came over sat down and started verbally abusing her. The lunch monitor saw this and came over and asked my daughter if she wanted to move and she said yes so she took her to another table. Everyday these girls come over to where she is first thing in the morning and sit next to her and call her names, one of the teachers saw this and came over and removed my daughter from this situation, the asst principle says there is 0 tolerance and if any of them comes to report on the other, this includes my daughter, so if she reports bullying or if she has to defend herself she will get suspended. I’m at a loss at what to do. I have told her to ignore them and walk away, but this type of bullying takes a toll on a child. Ske is basically being told to shut up and take it or report it and get suspended. I have asked to speak to the principle about this and am now waiting for a appt.
Long story short
Bullying and fights are outrageous. Teachers don’t care about the school. Administration doesn’t care about the school. Students don’t care about the school. Very few parents care about the school. Thompson is the worst school in the district and because very, very few people care it is not going to get better anytime soon. Everything is corrupted. Don’t send your kids here. I had to switch schools because I started off as an honor student who loved school and ended up hating school and wanting to stay home because of the bullying that was happening to me.
Fights. Bullying. Principals being…..not very intelligent to say the least. There is good teachers, some so nice, some that care about your grades, fun ones, smart ones. Phone rules are very flexible depending on your teacher which i like. There’s a lot of bullies and popular people who think they’re better than everyone. I can get through middle school in this school. not too bad for me.
