Thornridge should be closed down. Some staff members are lazy. They act like they care. They just suspend the kids. They don’t listen to the students when they have concerns. My son got shot and robbed coming from the school to south holland. It’s hard to talk to the principal. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. Children should be able to have a choice of high school they would like to attend outside of their district like the city kids have.
We had Great teachers, they were caring and concerned about the students and our well being. Besides our Mandated Curriculum-we had Archery, Swimming, Baseball, Sociology, Drafting, a huge Gymnasium-Basketball tournaments, Black History, Square Dancing etc. We were well-rounded! Thank God for Thornton High School-Class of 1969-1973-
God Bless…
Hate is such a strong word, and to think Google endorses such word makes me upset. Still a bad school, one of the faculty members called me a complete dumbass. Said that I’d never amount to much. Told my counselor, she agreed with the faculty member.
