As an ex student of both Thriftwood School and College, I really did enjoy my time there. It’s unbelievable that I left Thriftwood 6 years ago back in 2017 but I’ve never forgotten it. The staff were friendly, fun loving, professional and I got on really well with most of them. I will always be grateful for all the education they provided for me, all the help and support I needed and of course the laughs and giggles! I had some good times and bad times at Thriftwood but I never took it for granted and I want to thank all of the staff at Thriftwood because I wouldn’t be the person who I am today if wasn’t for this amazing school and college!
As an ex-student of Thriftwood School and College.
I will openly say, that my opinion of the College site may be considered biased and outdated. Because I left the site, 4 years ago.

Back when I was a pupil at the site, the staff that were present at the time, were wonderful. Extremely polite and professional. Especially within my last year, when I was in Year 12. The staff were relaxed and it was a completely different environment.

Obviously, it was never perfect. Because nothing ever is and young adults with additional/special needs are unpredictable. Never two days were the same and it was exciting.

There were a few things that were changed over the years, from health n safety and improvements.

I definitely do miss attending the college and highly recommend it

Best college and school. For people with learning diffculties. Went here 2018 for college and finished in 2021. Teachers were alot more supportive than the endeavour school. Teachers. And students were well behaved.

They actually listened to you more. Than other education facilities ive been too.

No bullying

Etc.

Keep it up Thriftwood. I really dont get why other students didnt find it good the college .

Thriftwood was good. The whole of Thriftwood was good.

Most of the good teachers have left, most of the teachers who are still there aren’t very good, but better then mainstream schools. College needs to stop treating students like babies and treat them like adults, like bruh KS5 are 16-18 years old so treat them like adults!!!!
My daughter chloe pack went to this school can’t fault it . Chloe is now at chelmsford college almost completed her health and social care . Come September she is off to Harlow college doing level 2 childcare. If it wasn’t for this brilliant school she would not have achieved what she has thank you
