Thank you to parents and former students for writing about your personal experiences with this school. It is a shame that the school has received national attention for issues that do not pertain to the growth and education of its students.

That being said, it has received this negative attention for a reason.

The administrator(s) who felt the need to remind the girl’s family of her gender may consider re-focusing their attention on any issues that may be hindering the students’ ability to learn and/or grow as Christian members of society. I am puzzled as to why her dress or behavior are affecting these more pertinent issues? I wonder how wearing jeans and having an interest in baseball makes one “sexually immoral,” especially at age 8? I feel that acceptance and guidance are much more applicable ways of following a “Biblical lifestyle.”

I’m glad that the way this young lady was treated has not seemed to emotionally harm her. In addition, it is relieving that her family understands the Bible and is supportive of her as a growing human being. The school may have even more positive reviews should the administrators focus on the needs of all of its children with love and respect.

[And to “plcollins1987″… you have taken your review a bit too far. This is an 8-year-old girl wearing jeans. Your tirade makes it sound as if she was trying to form an underage prostitution ring. No need to mention nightclubs nor site the workings of the devil.]

When my son first attended this school his arm was broken from playing on the playground and he absolutely did not want to be there. We are a military family and I have learned that military children feel the negative impacts just as much as the adults. From dealing with moving, Dad being deployed and his broken arm, my son was an utter mess and I was lost as a mother on how to help him (I tried almost everything!).
Timberlake Christian was there and present. The staff has been amazing to our family and I could not thank them more for what they have done for us. Not only did they teach my child to grow and be confident, but they helped me become a confident parent while dealing in our struggles. OH and to add to everything, my child is a grade ahead of everyone at his age in his new school. SO, if you are looking for a school that genuinely cares about their students AND their families, you found it. I love this school, I love the staff and we miss them dearly!
