What can I say? Despite this place being a Christian school, it was utter hell for the 3 years I went here. Let me start off by saying that if you were a student going here and you weren’t the most pious of Christian you could be, the faculty practically turned against you. Yeah there were some teachers that I honestly think they only said they were Christian for the paycheck and they made this place less of a sheltered and mundane Hell. I don’t blame them since I probably would lie about my faith if someone paid me enough. This school was settled by Dutch immigrants and to this day their descendants still run the place. They have a saying, “if you’re not Dutch then you’re not much” and trust me, a fully Hispanic student, they’ll make you feel like you’re not much. Also if you’re a student here who happens to be gay, all I can say to you is good luck. As long as you’re here, it doesn’t get better. I got lucky and found another gay student that went here and managed to somewhat date him and act like a normal highschool couple as long as we hid very well. If you’re rich, Dutch, Christian, consevative and wanna shelter your child from the harsh realities of the real world, this is just the place for you. Otherwise, please please PLEASE send your kid to any other public school in DuPage and don’t make the same mistake my parents’ made. Also you’ll be saving thousands of dollars.

I have four children who love attending Timothy Christian. The teachers are excellent and really care about their students – they are gentle, loving and they put pride in their work. My kids love their classmates as they are kind and there isn’t the drama I hear about that takes place in other schools (no bullying!). Timothy Christian has invested over $28M in their 22 acre campus over the last 8 years. The school is in excellent shape physically and financially (even has a several million dollar endowment!).

As a TC parent, I love the boutique school atmosphere which enables students to participate in several different sports and club activities, which I feel will make them very well rounded individuals. The education my children are getting is excellent and test scores back it up. Finally, my children are learning a Christian Worldview and being taught how to be a servant leader. For all these reasons and more, I highly recommend Timothy Christian.
