Great nursery.

Our little one loves top chapel, from the moment he started the baby room team have been great with his development and the facilities are great.

The communication is really good verbally and through my childs development journal, They use the Famly app which is good for keeping up with his day while we are at work to check what activities he has done, nap times etc

The room is always spotless with activities happening throughout the day which my son loves

My other children have been in the pre school room(which is a big spacious room) throughout the summer and thouroughly enjoyed the days they were in

couldnt recommend the nursery enough, also rated Outstanding which is was also one of the deciding factors

My children attend Top Chapel Day Nursery and it is absolutely amazing. The managers are so very professional and I cannot fault them at all. They have worked very closely with me in making sure my children are welcome. I feel my children are in safe hands and the staff are amazing too. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. Even though we have not been able to enter the setting due to covid I feel the managers have put me at ease and I have built a lovely relationship with them and are always there to help if needed.
We recently went to view top chapel day nursery.. when buzzed in the security gate we entered the security gate and were met in the “reception” area…We were ar no pointvasked to sighn in on the visitors book!!! That can’t be right surely!. When initially walking in the smell of soiled nappies together with stifling heat and total chaos was overwhelming but decided to carry on the visit…the first room (babies) was empty there were only 1 in attendance who had been taken in the next room with approx 10 older children 1 to 2 yrs old approx and 2 staff we conversed and viewed over a gate beween the 2 rooms..

The second room we peered through a window at im assuming two to three yr olds it looked like chaos and mayhem.. very unorganised and messy.

Next we went down a very steep set of stairs..(no safety gate in place). To the last room with im guessing 3to 4yr olds..3adults present with approx 15 children.. again very messy with 1 child shoving small pieces of lego in his mouth whilst unattended..

The children are to take their own welies to play out in..which were all left outside to get ruined.. surely they should be taken inside after use..

Overall verdict..badly run….children doing as they please…not safe..could do with a deep clean.. no thanyou.. for the price you are going to be paying i would rather give up work… definitely avoid this one

UPDATE

SEPT 2021

Further to my last review, I had cause to contact Ofsted about senior management and some of the nursery’s procedures (namely around invoicing and dealing with complaints), which I have found extremely frustrating and upsetting.

Ofsted deemed my experience with Top Chapel Day Nursery as very concerning. A particular matter was concluded rather than resolved as the Area Manager/Owner failed to apologise for poor implementation of procedures and rude conduct.

The level of care also appears to have dropped (such as soiled nappies and unexplained bumps to the head).

As we can no longer trust senior management and our oldest has started school we chose to withdraw our youngest child from the nursery and would like to express our thanks to the keyworkers for their individual care and hard work.

……

AUGUST 2021

Keyworkers in Toddlers and Pre-school rooms are AMAZING experienced individuals who contributed to our children settling very quickly. They take on feedback and are eager to know the children’s interests so that they can build upon this in their care. They have provided a home from home, engaging, fun and safe experience for our children.

Thankfully staff who work more with the children are the opposite of senior management. Our experience of management has been very frustrating at times.

Areas for development are definitely in the areas of communication, change management and management structure. Senior managers lack basic customer service, respect and professionalism. Simple requests are sometimes problematic.

Examples of taking responsibility, showing empathy, understanding and good listening & communication should be demonstrated from the top down.

In summary 5 stars for keyworkers, 1 star for senior management

….
.

Highly recommend, staff members are very welcoming and professional, management team very helpful and always happy to answer all my questions. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
