Hello! This is one of the “hilarious millennial screw-ups” talking to you now. I bet you’re kind of confused as to why I addressed myself that way, but if Ms. Cynthia Cohen didn’t delete her previous comments from her multiple fake accounts, then you probably would be able to understand why. Honestly, I don’t think anyone would want to sit through and read her essay-like comments because it’s filled with grammar and spelling mistakes. Normally, I do not feel the need to point out writing mistakes, but she continuously criticizes our school and keeps praising herself as the high and mighty literature goddess. She once said that she turned down a private school opportunity where the teachers actually respected her, her words not mine, for our school in which we did not force her to accept the job, she did by herself willingly. She made that choice.

In her most recent comment, where she actually used her REAL name, she mentions, and I quote, “By fiat there is no student newspaper nor a student government. Instead the school entertains its passive consumers with mindless dazzling spectacles like the downtown parades and cheerleading performances that discourage reasonable discussion and debate. Since there is no student government nor any student newspaper, students are objectified and are restricted to roles as passive consumers of the school spectacle.” Excuse me, what? So what you are saying is that we should NOT express our school spirit and focus more on discussion and debate? Shouldn’t there be a balance between academics and extracurricular activities? Shouldn’t we have the freedom to participate in more than academics? Not everyone is good at every subject and we don’t need to be.

Academics should not only be the base of intelligence. It is about being an asset to your community. It is about being someone who does not give up and continues to strive to be and do better. Our school offers more than just academic opportunities. We offer several sports programs ranging from golf to swimming and football to volleyball. The school also provides drama programs, choir, and even speech and debate. There are also a variety of clubs and even college classes. The school community is a friendly environment. If you couldn’t tell, I tried to write a comment just like hers but I just didn’t have the patience nor the time to do it. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.

I love going to this school the teachers have a great relationship with students every teacher knows almost every student by name and can help them even on a personal level. Teacher actually care about students rather then just patting them on the back and treat them like animals here we are treated like human beings and adults. This school has great programs that help our conversion to the adult world and I love going to this school. Although there was a bad teacher who is now fired who said she went to Stanford but her “diploma” was a certificate to a conference not a diploma.
