I graduated from this school last year after 11 years of going here and I can say that you shouldn’t send your kids here. It’s not worth emptying your pockets just to send your kids to a relatively lacklustre school. The quality of teaching varies greatly, they constantly back out of promises to students involving year group camps, and they have a habit of employing questionable teachers. I made some good friends going to this school, however I cannot promise this to everyone. It seems that every year they get more and more students going into the high school, but they somehow find the worst possible students ever who wreck the bathrooms constantly.
My daughter was in Tranby from Kindy until year 3. If your child Is not at a standard educational level they have very minimal assistance or support to provide for your child or the family.
It took over 4 years for the education psych to get around to seeing her and then never passed her assessment results on to me after over 13 emails to the school and psychologist herself, asking for them. 2 years later I have still had no response or resolution to my issue.

They have poor bullying policies which is quite evident in the clicky friend groups that form from the younger years.

Unfortunately I tried to stay positive and was continually let down and looked down on.

I hope this is no longer the case, as my daughter has now moved too a catchment school which has had amazing effects on her education.

I have to be honest with my experience.

Tranby is more concerned with the image than academically and emotionally supporting the children.

Terrible. Worst management I’ve ever seen at a school or business. Wouldn’t let my eldest son go to the week long school camp, the only one in his grade not to go, but wouldn’t provide a teacher when we tried to send him to school. Refused to reimburse tuition for the week he was unable to attend and no teacher was available. Security guard threatened to carjack my vehicle when partner was driving (with our youngest son was in the backseat) when trying to collect the older kids from the Kiss and Drop after it was collection time. Partner feared for her safety from the threat. Raised a complaint about it to the school management, but blame was all put onto my partner. Informed via letter for my partner to behave or our children’s enrolment will be terminated. Simply put, school management is supportive of security guards threatening you and your children and if you raise an issue you’re the problem. Various communication issues such as emails not being sent, etc. Not informed when my kids get injured. Invest your children’s education, safety and happiness, as well as your hard earned cash, at a school that cares about your children. Can absolutely guarantee my children will be punished by the school management for my raising of this complaint.
Way to soft on students that break the law within the school or at an event that the school is running. The they avoid talking to the parents of the victims!
Very frustrated, as a parent of 3 boys who go to this school. I had to email them 4 times over the time of 4 weeks to get somebody to call me. This is not a one off, I asked for other calls regarding 3-way meetings that I could not attend from the school’s teachers and 2 months later I am still yet to receive any calls. I emailed the IT department with a simple request, and 2 weeks later, I am still waiting to receive a call. It turns out my son has been put on a special learning program without any communication with me, and I am not the only parent that this has happened to either.

Shocking communication, especially from a premium school, however, I did get one phone call today, and the lady I spoke to said they are understaffed and not able to cope with the workload. I am yet to hear back regarding my other two simple requests.

Finally, the software they use “SEQTA” is outdated and gives more false notifications than real ones and makes it very hard to support your children.

There is instability with their Headmasters – it seems to be a hot seat at the moment.

**Edit. One child left Tranby and went to a public school, and he is very happy there. The public school communication and software are far superior. The boys who stayed at Tranby enjoy it, they feel safe. Mr Playdel in year 6 is excellent. My youngest looks forward to his classes.
