I’ve put aside the 6 hours with an instructor because of school and during the pandemic I’ve figured that I should get it done. (& my permit is expiring in a couple of months) I called numerous driving instructors in hopes of completing the 6 hours and Trans Oceans Driving School is the place where I felt most comfortable in doing so. My instructor, Sarah, was kind, patient, and understanding. And although there was somewhat of a language barrier because she only spoke Mandarin, she still tried striking up conversations and ultimately was in it to help her students succeed. There were many times where she asked if I needed a water break or anything really. After having multiple negative encounters with past instructors (rudeness, don’t text back, very high pricing, forgot to pick me up…) and finally contacting Sarah from Trans Ocean is surreal. In addition to all the positives, pricing is the lowest out of all the other instructors that I have worked with which is a huge +. Props to Sarah, definitely recommend if you want to learn how to drive & get those hours completed!

To start off, the driving instructor is a total mess. He is a total drama queen and tends to get into personal matters too closely, especially when it comes to other people’s business. In addition, even as a driving instructor, he fails to acknowledge what one is doing right and wrong, often misinterpreting such and leading to false reports of how his student does in a driving session. DO NOT take driving lessons from this man. His own illiteracy often leads to his own misinterpretations and frustration between the student and driver.

Mr. Frank is unreliable and untrustworthy. He called several times to clarify date and time for DMV test yet failed to show on the day of. What’s worse is that he blatantly lied about the scheduled time claiming I advised of different time and date which was never discussed. I don’t conduct business in this manner and would never trust a so-called business that does.
