There is never anyone to talk to on the phone and you have to come in on Mondays or Wednesdays from 7:00-7:30 PM to talk to someone about signing up or billing questions. We left multiple messages on the phone for them to stop billing after our kids stopped going because they didn’t like the class. They never called back and we had to go in on a Wednesday at 7:00 to talk to the owner about getting billed even after we stopped going and left multiple messages that we were done. They informed us they can’t stop billing until they get a “written letter” because its sooooo hard stop billing even though we had let them know multiple times by phone message we were done. Owner said he thought he had called us back and let us know we needed to send in a letter. That never happened and we were billed for another month even though we weren’t going anymore. They wont refund that month either. Sign up fees are outrageous. Once again don’t go there I wish we never had.
I went here when I was a teenager but wound up quitting the sport altogether because of unsafe practices and lack of accountability here. During the second to last class I attended I was partnered with a man nearly three times my size for light contact sparring without any gear to prevent injury. I was 4’11” and 90 pounds, he was well over 6 feet tall and a bit overweight. The let him imitate a fairy, leap into the air and bop me on the head repeatedly. Then he knocked the wind out of me by deliberately kneeing me full force in the stomach. While I laid there gasping he stood over me laughing. The teacher did absolutely nothing about this. They were 100% okay with him misbehaving and injuring me. Before that he had been insulting and mocking me over my size whenever we’d get paired. Again, nothing was ever said to him and last I checked they awarded him a blackbelt.
