This place abuses their kid students! I attended this dojo a while back, and saw & heard alarming things going on. The main sensei tells the kids to shut up, and even sometimes throws them around as punishment when they get in trouble!! I spoke up against this, & basically got told to stop coming. The instructor is proud of his maltreatment & tries to downplay it as “raising them to be though.” He has delusions of grandeur. Do not give this place any of your time and especially money!
Tri-City Judo has been one of the best experiences for our son! From the moment he walked in the door he was welcomed and loved. The Senseis have all taken time with him to coach him personally, not just in judo, but in aspects of life as well. Robert Borisch has a phenomenal family atmosphere at the dojo, that is inclusive of everybody, no matter the skill level or life situation. Highly recommend Tri-City Judo for competition, self-defense, exercise, and just good fun!
We have been lucky to be a part of Tri-City Judo for the last several years. My girls 7 and 5 have learned so much. Tri-City judo is more than just learning judo, its also about respect and discipline on and off the mat. The sensei’s take the time to connect with each child and create a safe space for them to learn and have fun. Tri-City judo welcomes each child and adult who walk in the door and we are truly grateful to be apart of this dojo.
