I really like the flexibility of the online courses, the affordability and the variety of degree options they have. My advisors and teachers have been very great but communicating with the other staff at this school is very frustrating. The employees in the financial aid department are very rude and condescending and they hang up on you abruptly whenever they get frustrated with you. The registar’s office is by far the WORST. Very nasty employees in that department who talk down to you and treat you like a child. They seem to forget they work for a college, not an elementary school. One spent 10 minutes arguing on the phone with me just because I wanted my new advisor’s phone number and email. The “career counselors” offer no type of help or advice and they just tell you to “google it” whenever you have a basic question about a certain major. They are also very judgmental if you express a desire to finish with only an associates degree and not transfer to a 4 year, not considering not everyone has the financial means to do so. The call center employees are very disrespectful and seem like they want to find reasons to argue with callers. There are also huge issues with miscommunication at this school and everyone seems to have different answers about certain topics which causes a lot of errors. Certain departments are also not great about contacting back even after leaving numerous voicemails/emails.
Overall I like the school itself but they need to either retrain the employees on basic respect and customer service or they need to hire new ones.
Save yourself the added stress and avoid this college. I decided to attend this college for several reasons: $0 tuition until March 2024(not true), ease of virtual learning for working individuals(NOT!), and workforce classes for dedicated careers(not even). This college has accepted financial aid and is refusing to release the funds and has changed the rules when it comes to releasing any remaining financial aid. And why is the financial aid taken when they are advertising $0. The professors are rude and expect you to attend live sessions when you select online only. I regret attending this college and now I have the extra student loans added to me because the grants and free money this school has accepted are not applied and they force the students to get loans to keep the money.
