They run their post secondary education program like a prison. I do not recommend this program. They violate people’s rights, especially the right to privacy, as far as personal conversations between the students goes. They also give the students false hope for their futures and they group everyone together and they don’t look at the students situations and disabilities individually. I have Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, mild cognitive impairment and seizures. They never took me seriously and they were more worried about getting me back in class in medical situations and they didn’t look out for my health and overall well-being. This awful post secondary education program took six long years of my life away, and I’m disappointed in myself for giving this program money through donations. This program needs to be shut down and they need to permanently close up shop.
From my 2 years of school experience at Troy Center, I learned about how being an adult has its ups and downs. It’s a decent school for an adult with any kind of uniqueness that each student may have.
They have a varitey of classes. They have social group classes, cooking classes, Friday outings (from my perspective, they were 3 stars for me), jobsites, and sometimes cbi (community- based instruction). I would recommend it if somebody who benefits from this to build more important social, academic, work-ethic and more life skills. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who already know what they are doing and only go there just to fool around and not learn. You can even learn from the outings, like rules for example. ??
Do you guys miss me I never got invited back to your dance s
