Professor I have is great! Passionate about the subject and actually teaches, and takes questions and answer them really well. One of the better professor I have had.

Administration is good. I had some registration issues and they resolved it fairly quickly.

Students are a different issue. Most of them really doesn’t seem to care about learning. They just want to pass and get their degrees. They don’t really engage in class discussion. My class was mostly educators; that makes me worry very much about our future. The class was mostly adults. WORST OF ALL, the class after me has very little etiquette. They would walk in while we are still in class (the period was over) and literally take my seat and push my stuff away while I am talking to the professor after class; happened multiple times and doesn’t want to get out of the way while I try to gather my stuff. Note: evening class, mostly adult students.

I have an undergrad from another university. And this is the 3rd University I have taken classes at.

Great teachers for the most part, and the classes are good learning environments. Garbage campus. The campus has multiple parking lots the size of football fields that are chronically empty, but now you have to buy a parking pass to park on campus as a student. Tuition is expensive, but count on paying more due to things like this. A good example of universities’ disregard of students in the interest of raking in an extra dollar. Great teachers though.
I’ve loved my time at Troy, and I especially liked the Dothan campus. Like another reviewer stated, there are plenty of adults that take classes there. Yes, some of the students are not the nicest, but that is an individual thing and not Troy University’s fault. The faculty are so nice and really want to see the students succeed.
