Truganina College is an amazing.College. My kids have moved few schools but this is the best. Teachers care about students and provide them feed back to help my children improve their learning. The staff are friendly, approachable and helpful.
I would recommend this school to all parents who want their children to excel in education.
Very satisfied!
Truganina P-9 College is a fantastic place to work. The supportive and inclusive environment helps both students and staff thrive. The dedicated teachers, excellent facilities, and strong community spirit make it an outstanding educational setting. Highly recommended!
The school fails to teach to an adequate standard and student behaviour is absolutely disgusting. Most of the teachers are extremely clueless when it comes to delivering curriculum appropriate lessons and have no control over their students. Bullying occurs at every corner- kids jump out of buildings, carpets are lit on fire, chairs are thrown, teachers are bashed, portables are vandalised, school property is stolen- the list goes on. It is understandable that the school has no authority over the external factors of their students etiquette, but letting such outrageous displays of misconduct occur is very concerning. Order is non-existent and student safety is jeopardised. The school seems to lack the rudimentary resources it requires to effectively educate its students. Infrastructure is mostly limited to portable classrooms and the school takes a lot of time to fund and obtain basic necessities like playgrounds and ovals. The school represses the voice of the students who actually wish to gain the benefits of education and brush off their concerns as something they ‘can’t fix’. Despite many accounts of feedback and complaints, no actions are taken as they prioritise their reputation over student distress. I’ve ‘studied’ at this school for a fair amount of years and am immensely grateful that I can complete my higher education at a more qualified school. I can without a doubt state that attending this disgrace of a school is not worth sacrificing your child’s education.
My time at Truganina P9 was quite a mixed experience. Whilst the campus and facilities are quite modern, my overall experience was challenged in profound ways that significantly impacted my time at this school.

Do not get me wrong, this school’s curriculum is at standard. Students come to school to recieve an education, and teachers are there to teach. This atmosphere is very much true to an extent, yet however, it would often feel the complete opposite due to the challenges that students face almost daily. Bullying. I frequently encountered bullying – physical, making people feel left out and even the spreading of rumours online of targeted students. As a student, it was almost disheartening to see many of my peers were also struggling with many similar issues. School became almost difficult to feel safe in.

I have known many peers for almost years now, and they’ve been the brightest students I have ever met. Almost every student in this school has amazing potential. The talent and intelligence that my classmates possess are truly remarkabe. From creative artists and talented musicians to aspiring scientist and gifted athletes, students are incredibly diverse and capable. Each individual has unique strengths and ambitions, and it’s inspiring to see how much potential there is within this college.

Despite these bright spots, it has been disheartening to see such potential often overshadowed by the issues within the school environment. This brings me back to the bullying situations. The persistent bullying and inconsistent quality of teaching have created an atmosphere where many students struggle to fully realize their abilities. It’s frustrating to witness friends and classmates, who could otherwise excel face unnecesary obstacles that hinder their growth and education.
The lack of respect for one another at this school has also brought up another throbbing issue – communication between students, teachers, and administration often seemed lacking. When issues were brought up they were not always adressed promptly or effectively. This lack of responsiveness contributed to the feeling of helplessness among the student .

The principal also has emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive public image – sometimes even hinting at repercussions for those who refuse to comply to writing good reviews. This practice not only undermines the integrity of the feedback but also creates a sense of distrust and frustration among the school community.

Hopefully, the next couple of my school years at this college are filled with positive changes that create a more supportive and enricching environment for all students of this college.

If there was an option for zero stars THAT is the rating this place deserves. Having had three children attend this place, i cannot express my dissatisfaction with this school enough. I have had to move one of my children out as she had no teacher an entire year. The only consistency was being split into different classes. No checking up on homework or reading. My eldest had kids walking out of her class and doing what ever they pleased. Chairs thrown and carpets lit on fire. Teachers bashed. Police and fire brigade called constantly BUT no communication as to why with parents. My son in grade 6 is being split into grade 2 class and does NOTHING all day as teacher is away on holiday during term! USELESS PLACE! THIS is not a school do not send your children here.
