My daughter who is hearing impaired attended this amazing school from the age of 3 to 8, she is now graduating from high school and attending University next year. I could not be more proud of her and this school for giving her the abilities to hear and speak out in the world. This school should be at the top of your list for hearing or hearing impaired. The teachers want to be there and care about your child like there own. The plays, Thanksgiving feast, and many other activities they have, are treasured memories in my family.
Another year, I still stand behind this review. If you are stressing out over educating your child, check this place out. Not only an enclave of deaf community. An oral deaf pk -5th grade school teaching “typically hearing” along side kids with hearing loss. An amazing, affordable 1:8 staff ratio where our children receive a stellar education focusing on oral communication and emotional intelligence. Non profit, a gem of a school in Portland’s inner east side. Chickens, goats, and a rock wall, too!
