Urangan State High School is actually an amazing school with wonderful teachers and staff that care for the students and support them. There are so many opportunities at this school whether you want to do a tafe course or if you want to be in an excellence program. There is also a wide range of fun, exciting activities at break times and extra curricular whether it is sport or drama.
Horrible but sometimes fun. The fights are good comedy. And good music opportunities how ever. There is atleast 5 fights per week. Makes a good thing to watch. We get into trouble for photos of fights which in my opinion is pathetic. We also have teachers go through bags and phones which is invading privacy. The school is horrible and i wish i was still at plainlands high school.
this school disrespects the brick wall also known as Kai nobody can disrespect the brick wall as he is the coolest kid in school 1 STAR
My daughter started yr 7 at urangan, didn’t last long. The bullying is out of control. She now goes to Hervey Bay High and is much happier. Alot of her friends are changing schools also. My son is in yr 12 there, should have moved him also. They don’t care about the kids. And don’t bother trying to get in contact if you have an issue.
USHS is horrendously undisciplined, informal place and the school grounds are appaling in hygiene and constantly littered with rubbish. At Urangan high, there is a big fight about every two days and the school’s answer is a suspension (time off school). Drugs are also very abundant at USHS( you can constantly smell it coming out of the bathrooms).

“If you are caught wagging, you will be suspended (get time off school) immediately” – said by school deputy on assembly 2015

In conclusion this school is not safe, and action needs to be taken
